VRC78 formulation is a specialist preparation for use on shellac 78 RPM records (78s). VRC78 is also safe to apply to modern, microgroove records (33s and 45s).

VRC78 may be applied to ten inch as well as twelve inch 78s with the VRC System Kit. The VRC Stack Rack accommodates all size records and in any combination.

Application rate

210ml of VRC78 is sufficient to treat up to 25 twelve inch records when used in conjunction with a VRC System Kit.

110ml of VRC78 is sufficient to treat up to 13 twelve inch records when used in conjunction with a VRC System Kit.

The Vinyl Record Cleaning Company's record cleaning films are proprietary formulations designed to dissolve the mixture of dust, dirt, grime and binder substances commonly found in record grooves. This mix will include all manner of oils and fats, finger grease, mould and mould spores, particulate matter such as stylus dust (ie diamond dust) and airborne dust. VRC cleaning fluids emulsify and breaks down the binders which hold this soiling to the record. Once the binders are broken down the soiling is dissolved into solution. This solution - or slurry - dries sealing the trapped impurities into a removable skin which can then be peeled off for a 100% clean. All formulations create a barrier to static electricity, the primary cause of noisy records.
